The present paper aims to identify the dynamics of agents of the productive chain of Conilon Coffee in the State of Espirito Santo, verifying the factors that influence it. The methodology used was based on qualitative research consisting of an exploratory and descriptive study. Itinerary interviews were conducted focusing on the variables: technologies of production; apprehension of concept; knowledge about the customer; chain inter-relations; institutional surrounding; professionalisation and information. Forty-four agents were interviewed from several constituent segments of the productive chain of Conilon Coffee. It was observed that the production chain of Conilon Coffee in ES has different rhythms over time and among the segments. The rhythm imposed on the chain comes more from aspects such as knowing the structure and functioning of chain inter-relations and information related to the business development than from the technologies of production utilized and degree of professionalisation of the agents.
