The dynamics of chains and networks provides a challenge for the linear decision making process, as chain managers tend to address issues and situations in isolation, rather than considering the whole chain under management. The results of many research projects and reports from companies continually highlight the need to enhance the chain decision making process to have the capacity to manage this complexity. The value of the holistic management^Â® decision making process for building trust and collaboration whilst simultaneously delivering on ethical, economical and ecological responsibility will be explored.
