Summary

The Arabian dromedary camel lives under semi-wild conditions, grazing throughout the year. However, camels prefer plant species containing moisture and electrolyte.

In the present study feeding trials using classical systems, comprising of alfalfa hay, wheat straw and a dairy cattle concentrate mixture are reported. The data provide information on the amount of feed consumed by lactating and dry fed either in group or individual.
