Expert opinion today confirms an overall adequate world food security situation. The world is capable of feeding its population. A current priority concern is to explore ways and means of distributing the worldâs food resources. Instrumentalisation of the human right to food is a conspicuous activity within these discussions. This paper is an ethical reflection on the work of AsbjÃ¸rn Eide on the human right to food. It discusses the role of âcosmopolitanâ ethics as a motivation for the implementation of the right to food among the concerned partners in the fight against hunger.
