Dans les rÃ©gions semi-arides, les systÃ¨mes de production sont dominÃ©s par la cÃ©rÃ©aliculture, associÃ©e le plus souvent Ã lâÃ©levage et Ã la pratique de la jachÃ¨re. Lâune des orientations prioritaires pour le dÃ©veloppement agricole de ces rÃ©gions est lâadoption du systÃ¨me de Ley Farming, basÃ© sur lâutilisation des lÃ©gumineuses fourragÃ¨res annuelles auto-rÃ©gÃ©nÃ©ratrices en rotation avec les cÃ©rÃ©ales. Cet article dÃ©crit briÃ¨vement lâintÃ©rÃªt de ce systÃ¨me et de son dÃ©veloppement au Maroc. Les possibilitÃ©s offertes par le Ley Farming pour lâintÃ©gration de la cÃ©rÃ©aliculture et de lâÃ©levage ainsi que les contraintes qui se posent Ã ce niveau sont discutÃ©es Ã la lumiÃ¨re des rÃ©sultats dâenquÃªtes et dâexpÃ©rimentation menÃ©es dans diffÃ©rentes rÃ©gions cÃ©rÃ©aliÃ¨res.
