Résumé

Les principales maladies contagieuses des bovins dans les systèmes d’élevages intensifiés sont passées en revue. Les derniers résultats des prophylaxies pratiquées en France pour les maladies monofactorielles réputées contagieuses (fièvre aphteuse, tuberculose, brucellose, leucose, rage) sont rappelés pour fournir les éléments du rapport coût-bénéfice de l’application de mesures sanitaires et /ou médicales ad hoc. Les pathologies plurifactorielles contagieuses les plus courantes dans ce type d’élevages (gastro entérites néonatales, maladies respiratoires des jeunes bovins, maladie des muqueuses, paratuberculose, mammites, boiteries) sont ensuite présentées en insistant tout spécialement sur les moyens à mettre en oeuvre pour leur prévention.
