An overview of the main characteristics of different actors within the Argentinian fine wine chain is presented, together with a study of the most relevant horizontal and vertical ties among actors, focused on the supply chain analysis (SCA) and network analysis (NA) perspective. Special attention is given to material flows between primary producers and the winemaking industry, considering that supply of fine grapes is one of the limiting factors of the overall chain as the SWOT analysis revealed. Contractions for raw material provision are surveyed because of the terms and specific modes that highly condition transactional efficiency. Governance structures are surveyed and analysed considering the specificity of involved assets. Vertical relationships within cellars and great distribution (GD) are described, in view of the fact that GD is the most important commercialisation mode in domestic market. Most frequent exportation modes from cellars are summarised. Finally, an overview from a netchain perspective is delineated, and future strategies are suggested for fine wine chain exportation competitiveness improvement.
