Abstract

This chapter highlights Amos Yong’s contributions in researching the subject of Christian higher education. Yong’s theological concept of the many tongues of Pentecost invites an interdisciplinary interaction that is open to a variety of voices while at the same time being a witness for Christ. As such, Christian universities can make contributions in areas like artificial intelligence and innovative energy solutions while also offering a prophetic alternative to what is available at secular institutions of higher education.
