Abstract

This chapter explores AbdelkÃ©bir Khatibiâs thought through the figure of the intellectual as a nomadic translator who works between disciplines to restore, reactivate, and transfer knowledge. I argue that Khatibiâs dynamic and interdisciplinary thinking can be described through epistemic translation as a mode of production and dissemination of knowledge. While analysing Khatibiâs thinking as and with translation, I focus on his work on both the Maghreb and Moroccan politics to elucidate the translational process that allows him to promote the active circulation of theoretical concepts and cultural meanings.
