In this presentation I will discuss the possibility of producing meat; not from killed animals as has been the case so far, but to tissue engineer meat from animal cells in bioreactors. I will argue that if this is possible, this new technology will solve some major problems. One is related to the environmental load presented by present day intensive animal meat production, another is the ethically sensitive question of animal suffering and killings of animals. However, the new possibilities opened up will also present us with some moral problems which will be discussed at the end.
