Abstract

Compared with the Tort Liability Law, the changes in the Book on Tort Liability of the Chinese Civil Code are generally not radical. Yet there have been some changes that are still quite characteristic and deserve to be highlighted. The chapter explores such changes and explains how the evolution from the Tort Liability Law to the Civil Code caused several difficulties affecting the coherence of the overall system of tort liability.
