Jacopo Zabarellaâs doctrine about logic begins with an overview of the ânature of logic,â which contains also an interesting section about the âsubjectâ of logic. He discusses alternative suggestions carefully, before arriving to his own position that logic is mainly an instrument. There are a couple of especially noteworthy passages about internal and external ends and about grounds for logical instrumentalism.
