This early article pursues an approach which I favour generally, i.e., to look at issues and problems from the point of view of several sciences. Too often one sees that economists disregard political realities, while for example political scientists tend to overlook economic aspects. Although much has improved, even today the need for an interdisciplinary approach remains obvious for many problems.
