Abstract

Quality of dispute resolution includes different criteria and can be measured by different techniques. In general, the quality of dispute resolution in the state courts of the countries of the Caucasus and Central Asia is relatively little explored, although preliminary findings indicate weaknesses in the system. However, findings also show significant differences between the countries concerned, Georgia often being mentioned as a top ranking example in the region, followed by Azerbaijan. Overall, this subject would need more specific research and endeavours for future reform.
