Abstract

UNCITRAL with its long-year experience in developing rules on arbitration has in recent years started to work also on investment arbitration focusing at first on issues of transparency. The chapter gives an overview of UNCITRALâs work on transparency in treaty-based investor-State arbitration, and a brief review of both the UNCITRAL Rules on Transparency and the UN Convention on Transparency in Treaty-based Investor-State Arbitration.
