Conilius Jaison Chagwiza
is a lecturer in the Science and Mathematics Education Department at Bindura University of Science Education. Dr Chagwiza holds a PhD in mathematics education from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Dr Chagwiza has served for sixteen years as high school mathematics teacher in Zimbabwe, five months as a teaching assistant in the Mathematics Department at Bindura university of Science Education, and over sixteen years in the current position: lecturer at Bindura University of Science Education. He has published over 19 articles in various local and international journals and reviewed three Zimbabwe Open University Modules in Mathematics and Statistics. Munyaradzi Chidarikire

Pinias Chikuvadze
holds a PhD degree in Philosophy and Policy Studies in Education from the University of Free State, South Africa. He is a lecturer in the Department of Curriculum and Educational Management Studies, Faculty of Science Education at Bindura University of Science Education, Zimbabwe. Further to this, he is a research fellow in the Office for International Affairs, University of the Free State, South Africa. Daimond Dziva
is a passionate educator and researcher dedicated to transforming science education. With a PhD in Science Education (UP, Greece), an MSc in Curriculum Studies (BUSE, Zimbabwe), and a Licentiate in Education-Biology (EJV, Cuba), he brings a wealth of knowledge to his role as a lecturer. Dr Dziva’s research explores the integration of indigenous knowledge into science curricula, recognising the value of traditional wisdom in fostering cultural sustainability. He actively champions teacher development programmes that bridge the gap between scientific understanding and local knowledge systems. Beyond academia, Dr Dziva embodies the spirit of Ubuntu through his volunteer work, providing psychosocial support to children in challenging circumstances. Thuthukile Jita
is a lecturer and discipline coordinator for Curriculum Studies and the Research Co-ordinator for the Instructional Leadership and Curriculum Implementation Studies group at the University of the Free State. She is also an elected member of Senate and serves on the Faculty of Education ethics committee. She is an experienced science educator, with years of involvement in engaged scholarship projects with schools. Prof Jita is also a Thuthuka National Research Foundation (NRF) grant-holder and previous winner of the 3-minutes thesis competition (3MT) at the University of the Free State in 2016. She has presented papers at national and international conferences. Fumane Portia Khanare
is an Associate Professor in the Department of Educational Psychology at the University of the Western Cape, South Africa. Her research specialises in rural education with a focus on care and support of learners with neurodiverse needs, orphaned and vulnerable learners, and addressing HIV and AIDS education. She also explores the holistic well-being of youth and teachers in rural communities. Prof Khanare employs asset-based approaches and participatory arts-based research methods, such as collage, draw-write-tell, and photovoice to engage with youth, amplifying their voices and fostering agency for sustainable and enabling learning environments. In 2017, she was recognised as a Child and Youth Institute Laureate by the Council for the Development of Social Science Research in Africa (CODESRIA). Prof Khanare currently serves as the chairperson of the Education Association of South Africa (EASA). Anne-Faith Majoni
is a psychology lecturer at the Women University in Africa and a community Phycologist intern (A/PSY0713). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Psychology (MSU) and a Diploma in Tertiary Education from Bindura University of Educational Sciences. Farirai P. Matemavi
is a holder of a Bachelor of Science Education (Honours) Degree in Mathematics. Currently, she is a Mathematics teacher and Head of Science and Mathematics Department at a secondary school in Zimbabwe. Young Mudavanhu
is a Senior Lecturer in the Curriculum and Educational Management Studies Department, Faculty of Science Education at Bindura University of Science Education. He is a teacher educator and teaches Curriculum Studies to students learning to become secondary science and mathematics teachers. Edson Mudzamiri
is a keen physics educator with science education credentials that include, PhD (Science Education-Physics) University of Kwazulu-Natal, Master of Education Science and Mathematics Education (Physics) (UZ), Bachelor of Science with Education (Physics and Geography) (BUSE) and Masters of Educational Administration, Planning and Policy Studies (ZOU). Albert Mufanechiya
holds PhD and is a senior lecturer in the Department of Educational Foundations and Curriculum Development at Great Zimbabwe University and is currently a postdoctoral fellow at the University of the Free State. His research focuses on contemporary education curriculum issues and professional teacher development and learning. Dr Mufanechiya’s commitment to education extends beyond academia, he has worked with several NGO s in Zimbabwe providing expertise and guidance in community engagement projects. Christopher Mutseekwa
holds a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Fort Hare, South Africa. Currently, he is a lecturer in the Department of Curriculum and Educational Management Studies, Faculty of Science Education at the Bindura University of Science Education, Zimbabwe but on Government secondment to Rwanda. In Rwanda, Dr Mutseekwa is a Research and Pedagogical Advisor with the Rwanda Basic Education Board at Teacher Training College Matimba. Peace Ginika Nwokedi
is a lecturer, academic moderator, and assessor, with the Department of Educational Psychology of the University of Johannesburg South Africa. Gladys Sunzuma
is a Senior lecturer in the Science and Mathematics Education Department at Bindura University of Science Education. Dr Sunzuma holds a PhD in mathematics education from the University of Kwa-Zulu Natal. Dr Sunzuma has served for seven years as high school mathematics, physical science, integrated science and chemistry teacher in Zimbabwe, three years as a teaching assistant in the Education Department at Bindura university of Science Education, and over 13 years in the current position: senior lecturer at Bindura University of Science Education. She has published over 35 articles in various local and international journals. She has reviewed several articles from various journals. Nicholas Zezekwa
holds the following qualifications DED (UNISA), MSCED physics and BSECD (UZ). Dr Zezekwa is a science educator with experience of teaching science in general and physics in particular from junior secondary, ordinary level, advanced level, undergraduate and post graduate levels spanning over 25 years. His research interests are focused on Science Education, with more than thirty publications in high impact and Scopus indexed journals. He researches on pedagogical content knowledge, nature of science and teacher professional development.
