Abstract

This chapter sets out the legal framework of the reconciliation sessions that are a compulsory part of divorce cases. It also introduces the concept of âharmâ that is central to divorce cases and the challenges raised by the ambiguity of the law and its failure to provide a clear definition of âharmâ that, in practice, is gendered.
