Le point de dÃ©part est une Ã©tude un peu ancienne de Gustave Lanson (1925), on termine par Stanley Fish et le Â«âretourâÂ» de lâintentio auctoris chez lâinventeur des Â«âcommunautÃ©s interprÃ©tativesâÂ».

Abstract

This article is a reflection on the concept of authorial intention, and on the possible uses of this concept in literary criticism today. The starting point is a study on text explication by Gustave Lanson (1925), after which we discuss Stanley Fish and his discourse on the âreturnâ of intentionality, after deconstruction and the Derrida years (âPostfaceâ of the French translation of Is There a Text in This Class? 2007).
