Abstract

This qualitative multiple case study investigates pre-service teachers (PSET s) working with wonder-infused pedagogy and the resulting impacts on both their visions of practice and their implementation of inquiry in their initial teaching experiences. The chapter articulates the theoretical underpinnings for wonder-infused pedagogy and describes its utilization within an elementary science methods course. The data focuses on both conceptualization and implementation of science pedagogy as PSETS as they transition from preservice to inservice teacher. To this end, the chapter will provide a vision for the learning and teaching journeys of these future teachers and the implications that wonder-infused pedagogy holds for the second quarter of the 21st century.
