Abstract

This front matter section of the book titled The Furniture from Tumulus MM contains the Table of Contents, the Acknowledgement, the Preface, a list of color plates, a list of figures, text figures, CD-figures and the list of plates. The purpose of the Gordion Furniture Project, is the study, drawing, photography, conservation, reconstruction, and storage of the furniture and small wooden objects from the site. The Gordion wooden artifacts, once misinterpreted and even maligned, are now recognized as the largest and most important group of well-preserved ancient wooden objects to be excavated from the Near East.
