Abstract

An account of Ficinoâs interpretation of the Plotinian theory regarding the soulâs ascent to the Good. The chapter is divided into three sections dealing with the presence of the Good, the futurity of the Good, and ascent through exercise of the will. Under the influence of Dionysius the Areopagite, the departure from Plotinusâ position is here visible perhaps to the greatest extent.
