The series "History of Metaphysics: Ancient, Medieval, Modern" intends to overcome the limits of current research by publishing both canonical and overlooked authors or topics. It aims to enrich and reassess the history of metaphysics through volumes on authors and topics that have shaped the history of thought and yet, for various reasons, have been ignored. Volumes on canonical figures or topics will situate them against a dense and accurate historical and philosophical background. The series equally endeavours to explore the history of metaphysics through the study of fecund relationships between cultures and traditions, with a distinct focus on the interaction between the traditions of Western and Eastern Christianity, Islam and Judaism. The series includes monographs, edited volumes, translations in English, French, Italian and German and critical editions in the original language.
