Abstract

In the paper, the methodological status of the prediction of totalitarization of capitalism is considered. The author of this paper made such prognosis in 1979. However, the neoliberal policies of Margaret Thatcher and Ronald Reagan in the 1980 of previous century seemed to block the processes of cumulation of power and property. The author considers the directions in which non-Marxian historical materialism can be extended in order to accommodate the socio-political development of Western societies which do not confirm this prediction
