Leszek Nowak (1943–2009)
was a philosopher, the founder and editor-in-chief Poznań Studies in the Philosophy of the Sciences and the Humanities and co-founder of Poznań School of Methodology. He created three theories of the great scope: idealizational theory of science, non-Marxian historical materialism and unitary metaphysics. In English he published among other: The Structure of Idealization: Towards a Systematic Interpretation of the Marxian Idea of Science (1980), Property and Power: Towards a non-Marxian Historical Materialism (1983), Power and Civil Society: Power and Civil Society.
