Early detection of herbicide efficacy via satellite remote sensing can enhance weed management. However, their spatial resolution limits weed suppression assessment. This study integrates spatial, spectral, and temporal metrics to estimate weed control efficacy in maize using PlanetScope imagery. A field experiment with four treatments (two herbicides, no weeds intervention, and without weeds) was analyzed using grey level co-occurrence matrix (GLCM). Results show that variance in GLCM features, mainly based near infra-red (NIR) and green bands, was most sensitive to detecting weed suppression over time. These results offer a potential new tool for assessing weed control using satellite data.
