Abstract

This chapter reveals a disconnect in the existing literature between the theoretical Brecht and the practical Brecht and presents the idea of examining Brechtâs theory and method of adaptation as a means of reconciling this shortcoming and of assessing Brechtâs usefulness for anti-capitalist aesthetics today.
