Abstract

This chapter is about a dialogue with Ajahn Malee Palawongse, a long-time student of Luangpu Pramote. I describe and interpret her life story from how she became interested in mindfulness practice, searched for the right teacher, experienced the pure mind, and became a great Dhamma teacher. Her perseverance is inspiring, especially for busy working mothers who have difficulty finding the time to practice. Her insight into the impermanence, suffering, and non-self nature of the body and mind can help us understand how to cultivate equanimity towards adversity.
