Abstract

In Chapter 7, the author explains how writing from personal and/or cultural funds of knowledge may produce a transformation of thinking about the importance of writing, re-evaluating preservice teachers opinions about themselves as writers and the possibilities for teaching writing-as-narrative to their present and future students. Student teachers’ self-reports about their own writing experiences and their experiences teaching writing from a storied perspective are analyzed through the lens of Critical Discourse Analysis.
