The Journal of Chinese Theology is designed to meet the growing demand for the academic study of Christianity in Chinese contexts, broadly understood. International, interdisciplinary, and fully peer-reviewed, the journal publishes articles in the areas of Biblical Studies, Church History, Systematic Theology, Practical Theology, Comparative Religions, Religious Ethnography, and Sociology of Religion. JCT also features articles exploring broader issues in church and society. The main focus of the journal is on critical, contextual, and cross-cultural studies within disciplines engaging global Chinese theologies across national, denominational and regional borders.

One chief objective of JCT is to introduce the fruits of Chinese-language theological scholarship to readers worldwide. To that end, all JCT articles are published in English, while we also welcome submissions in Chinese. Translation services are available upon request for manuscripts written in Chinese if they are accepted for publication.

The first five volumes of JCT were published as Yearbook of Chinese Theology and can be found here.
