Abstract

Our world today is confronted by a myriad of challenges. The right to development seeks to address some of these world challenges. This chapter focuses on the realization of the right to development in Kenya through fulfillment of economic, social and cultural rights with a specific focus on the rights to work, health, education and poverty reduction efforts in place. Despite all the efforts in place, Kenya continues to faces challenges with high unemployment rates and poverty. Further, corruption has only served to exacerbate the situation. Kenyan government can undertake collaborative initiatives with Chinese Government to enhance fulfillment of human rights in both nations.
