Abstract

In this paper we present an approach for the validation of area measurement methods for agricultural parcels, using GNSS equipment. The aim of this validation approach is to provide a standardized way for the estimation of the performance of tools for area measurement, which can objectively be shown to perform correctly under specific conditions, and considered therefore fit for the purpose of measurements made in the context of field checks noted in Commission Regulation 796/04, Article 30.
