Abstract

The significance of the 2022 ISATT Regional Conference held in Bordeaux, France is set within the study association’s long and distinguished history. The teacher perspective that ISATT champions helped to usher in the qualitative research paradigm. Founding members are named, and some insights into the social narrative history of the organization are captured as well. The research strands that ISATT has incubated are mentioned, along with some new emerging research themes. ISATT is becoming genuinely international. The Bordeaux Conference was central to ISATT achieving its founders’ mission.
