This edited book with the title Programming and Computational Thinking in Technology Education: Swedish and International Perspectives is part of the Brill book series International Technology Education Studies. As such, it contributes to the international research field of technology education, with a particular focus on Sweden albeit in an international context. Because programming and computational thinking are currently urgent topics for education in many countries, the book also makes a contribution to computer science, policy research and other similar areas that concern the introduction of programming, CT and digital tools in schools.
We as editors would like to thank all the authors who contributed their respective chapters to the book, as well as many good comments at the webinar and in the writing process. We would also like to express our deepest gratitude to John Bennett at Brill who made this project possible and supported us throughout the writing and editing stages.
