Abstract

La prÃ©sente Ã©tude examinera la racine commune au spectacle et Ã lâintrospection, en analysant lâusage de la mÃ©taphore thÃ©Ã¢trale au sein de BÃ©rÃ©nice. Celle-ci permettra de dissÃ©quer non seulement les interactions sociales et politiques des personnages, mais Ã©galement le rapport que le personnage entretient avec lui-mÃªme, devant le thÃ©Ã¢tre de sa conscience intime. Dans BÃ©rÃ©nice, Titus se croit sur le thÃ©Ã¢tre de lâunivers. En Ã©tudiant les diffÃ©rents publics que se propose le nouvel empereur, cet essai montrera comment le modÃ¨le thÃ©Ã¢tral â et le modÃ¨le racinien en particulier â structure lâavÃ¨nement au pouvoir de Titus.
