Abstract

The article discusses the question of whether the European Union’s anticorruption policy interrelates with the anti-corruption policies of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development, the Council of Europe and the United Nations. It further explores to what extent these international institutions cooperate with each other. Therefore, the article compares the international instruments of the OECD, the CoE and the UN to those of the EC/EU and sheds light on the main acts of interaction between them. In the course of this examination, the article analyses whether or not these different approaches on the fight against corruption form a beneficial anti-corruption regime for Europe.
