Abstract

The study presents some of the applications of algorithms for phonetic (phonemic) transcription in linguistic research. The list of problems, which could be solved with the help of statistical analysis and by the use of an algorithm is long and should be expected to grow. The results of such research will be of interest to those involved in phonetics (phonology), psycholinguistics, morphology (morphonology), theory of literature, lexicology and lexicography and other disciplines outside of linguistics.
