Abstract

This chapter outlines problems in understanding the God-like Entity. It begins by discussing the aims and methodology of logic, exploring whether it connects to mind-independent reality. It is then argued that the God-like Entity should be examined through an explosionist perspective, which will underpin later discussions in the book. The chapter also introduces alternative logical approaches: logic revision, logical pluralism, and logical nihilism. Key issues discussed include the nature of logic, its laws, and the metaphysical foundations governing them. While it is suggested that dismissing explosionism too early may be premature, a more detailed exploration is deferred to later chapters. Ultimately, the chapter demonstrates that a satisfactory theory of the God-like Entity must address these complex issues within a unified logical and metaphysical framework.
