Abstract

This chapter examines modal realism and its capacity to accommodate the God-like Entity within its framework. The tension between classical theism and modal realism arises from the characteristics ascribed to the God-like Entity and the metaphysical commitments of modal realism. It is argued that realists about possibility should extend their analysis to include the domain of impossibility. Treating impossible worlds alongside possible ones remains a viable and promising approach, despite initial objections. Additionally, the chapter evaluates how explosionist framework addresses impossible content, maintains distinctions between types of impossibilities, and captures key modal intuitions regarding the God-like Entity.
