Kerstin S. Jobst is Professor of Eastern European History at the University of Vienna and PI of the FWF Research Group âGreat War and Anthropoceneâ, and author of several monographs and articles, focusing (among other topics) on the history of Ukraine and the history of Crimea.
Oksana Nagornaia is Assistant Professor of East European History at the Humboldt University in Berlin. She has published monographs, collected works and articles on Russian and German history.
Kerstin von Lingen is Professor of Contemporary History at the University of Vienna, and Co-PI of the FWF Research Group âGreat War and Antropoceneâ. She has published numerous articles on the military history of the First and Second World Wars, and focuses on the history of violence and war, migration studies, war crimes trials and memory discourses.
The book is aimed at the multidisciplinary research community of historians, anthropologists, sociologists, cultural geographers and archaeologists, and a wider audience concerned with the conflicts between humans and the environment in modern wars.
