Malcolm Miller, musicologist and pianist, is Honorary Associate and Associate Lecturer at the Open University, UK. He received his doctorate at Kingâs College London and has published widely on Beethoven, Wagner and contemporary music. His essay âMusic as Memory: British Ãmigré Composers and their Wartime Experienceâ appears in The Impact of Nazism on Twentieth-Century Music (Böhlau Verlag, 2014).
