Created by Henri Berr in 1900, the Revue de Synthèse welcomes works of intellectual history, epistemology, philosophy, sociology, economic, social and cultural history. Its vocation is to stimulate reflection at the crossroads between philosophy, the history of science and general history by encouraging research and exchanges on questions relating to the foundations of the social sciences, the renewal of scientific enquiries, and the development of new paths specific to intellectual history.
The Revue de Synthèse is therefore devoted to the history of intellectual work. It contributes to shed light on the criteria of scientificity in the social sciences. As such, it occupies an original place in all international publications. It maintains this requirement of quality through a strict selection of the articles it receives.
