Abstract

After charting out the lives of bovines from birth to death, if not extinction, this chapter is like a productive glitch in the biography, speaking about the everyday mundane events that encompass the companionships of humans and bovines. While the companionship get manifested through the vital forces of the herd, the virility, the grace, and the omni-pregnancy in the key scenarios of birth, play, pain, death, and extinction, as explained in previous chapters, this chapter doubts whether the forces which make and unmake companionships have any role in the day to day interactions between humans and bovines. This chapter shifts gears from the notion of companionship as emerging in framed moments of life to the unframed and unframable mundanity of life. This chapter challenges the pre-established disposition of placing the idea of virility and grace as special, surprising, and extraordinary, in contrast to everyday mundanity, and, does a course correction of virility and grace as basically an ordinary force that is permeably dormant in the extraordinary. This chapter begins with a thick description of spatiality, temporality, and embodiment of everyday in different forms of companionships and, ends with the different kinds of walking with bovines which expounds on different companionships.
