This study enhances our understanding of early modern Europe, a period that proved critical in the development of new intellectual ideas and practices. This study also contributes to foster research in the areas of cultural history, European literature and Latin palaeography by comparing and contrasting local archival and international studies. It also encourages new archival research on Renaissance pedagogy for a broader and more critical understanding of past events, pedagogical theories and intellectual development.
