Author
Chang-nam Kim
graduated from the Department of Business Administration, Seoul National University, and completed his master’s and doctoral programs at the Graduate School of Journalism. He has been a cultural critic since the 1980s, serving as a planning committee member and editorial board member of several magazines; he has also served as president of the Korean Association for the Study of Popular Music and director of the Cartoon and Animation Society in Korea. Currently, he is a professor at the Department of Interdisciplinary Media Contents Convergence and the Graduate School of Cultural Studies at Sungkonghoe University.
Translators
Oul Han
is an assistant professor of Global Korean Studies at Sogang University and a researcher on the Korean Wave. Her work focuses broadly on conceptual change and discourse in media and media technology as seen through textual analysis.
Jiyoung Suh
is a research fellow at the Center for Hallyu Studies, Seoul National University Asia Center. She is a cultural and gender historian. Her current research includes celebrity culture in colonial and contemporary Korea.
Reviser
Kelly V. King
is a copy editor and content developer with many years of experience in educational publishing. More recently, she has worked on nonfiction books translated from Korean to English and several fantasy/adventure novels.
