Abstract

The jurisprudence of the African Commission and the African Court on Human and Peoplesâ Rights have consistently upheld the applicability in Africa of international human rights law, and the universality of human rights. While enforcing the African Convention on Human and Peoplesâ Rights the Commission and the Court have interpreted its provisions in the light of international human rights law.
