Tania Alonso-Sainz
is Lecturer at Department of Educational Studies, Complutense University of Madrid, Spain. Her research interests include teacher identity, teacher education and policies of education from a philosophical approach. Her PhD was based on the work of Charles Taylor and its application for contemporary teacher identity.
Satya Samhita Balanagu
worked as a Research Assistant at the National Institute of Education from 2019–2021. She graduated with a Bachelor of Social Sciences (Hons) degree in Psychology from the National University of Singapore in 2019.
Aimie Brennan
is Head of Department of Policy & Practice and Lecturer in Education Policy and Research Methods at Marino Institute of Education, Ireland. She lectures on initial teacher education and education studies programmes. Her current research interests include sociology of education, teacher education policy and student-staff partnership in higher education.
Angela Canny
is Assistant Dean of Education and Senior Lecturer in Sociology of Education at Mary Immaculate College, Ireland. She lectures on initial teacher education programmes for early years and primary level teachers. Her research interests include; gender studies, social and educational disadvantage, school to work transition and education policy.
Bee Leng Chua
is an Associate Dean, Professional Practice at the Office of Teacher Education and Senior Lecturer with the Psychology and Child & Human Development Academic Group at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. She has conducted research in the areas of teacher education, mediated learning, problem-based learning, motivation and cognition.
Stefanie Yen Leng Chye
is Assistant Dean (Teacher Leadership and Professional Inquiry) at the Office of Teacher Education and Assistant Professor with the Psychology and Child & Human Development Academic Group at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. Her research interests are in the areas of self-regulated learning, teacher education, digital portfolios, technology-enabled teaching and learning, and innovative pedagogies. She is keen on analysing issues within these areas from a sociocultural-historical and dialogical lens.
Kurt Clausen
is Professor in the School of Education at Nipissing University, North Bay, Ontario. He received his PhD in Educational Administration from the University of Ottawa, specializing in the development of integrated curriculum. His current research interests include history of education (especially related to teacher education), organizational thought and action research.
Reina Ferrández-Berrueco
is Associate Professor of Research Methods and Assessment in Education at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, Universitat Jaume I, Castellón, Spain. She is an expert in Quality Assessment in Higher Education. Her research focuses on quality in higher education in the context of different issues including assessment, curriculum development, teaching competences, research and society and labour market relationships.
Maria Assunção Flores
works at the University of Minho, Portugal. She received her PhD at the University of Nottingham, UK. Her research interests include teacher professionalism and identity, teacher education and professional development. She is currently editor of the European Journal of Teacher Education and Director of the Research Centre on Child Studies.
Rosalyn Hyde
is Principal Teaching Fellow in Mathematics Education in the School of Education at the University of Southampton, UK. She holds a PhD in Teacher Education focusing on employment-led routes to initial teacher education and mainly teaches on post graduate teacher preparation programmes. Her research interests include teacher preparation for secondary mathematics teachers and the development of early career teachers.

is currently a doctoral candidate at the Institute of Education, Dublin City University, Ireland. Her research interests include initial teacher education, best practices in mathematics education and education for sustainable development.
Mary Knight
is an Honorary Senior Lecturer in Education at the University of Dundee, Scotland. Mary’s research interests include student teacher development, specifically in the area of emotions related to managing classroom behaviour, inclusive practices and gender imbalance in primary teacher education and in the primary sector.
Jennifer Liston
is a Teaching Fellow in Education at the Department of Learning, Society and Religious Education, Mary Immaculate College, Ireland. Her teaching and research interests lie in the areas of initial teacher education, geography pedagogy, global education and reflective practice.
Erika Löfström
is Professor of Education and leader of Swedish-language elementary teacher education at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Helsinki, Finland. Her research interests include teacher identity, integrity and research ethics, and ethics of supervision.
Ee Ling Low
is Dean, Academic and Faculty Affairs and the immediate past Dean, Teacher Education at the National Institute of Education (NIE), Nanyang Technological University, Singapore (NTU). She is an internationally renowned expert in Teacher Education and World Englishes. Her research goal is to continually build an evidence base to inform the policies on and practices of teacher education and teacher professional learning.
Joanna Madalinska-Michalak
is Professor at University of Warsaw, Poland, and a Honorary Professor at Aarhus University, Denmark. She is a past Chair of TEPE Network (2016–2020). She serves as an expert for European Commission. Her research interest include teacher education, teacher education policy, teacher professional development, and educational leadership.
Melanie Ní Dhuinn
is an Assistant Professor in Teacher Education in the School of Education, Trinity College Dublin, Ireland. Her teaching and research interests are in teacher education (initial teacher education and induction), teaching pedagogies, sociology of education, optimising use of technology in education, reflective practice and global education.
Suzanne O’Keeffe
is Lecturer/Assistant Professor at the Froebel Department of Primary and Early Childhood Education, Maynooth University, Ireland. Her research interests include education; feminist research designs; gender and gender role expectations, and masculinities. She is currently engaged in research that contests lingering gendered attitudes about childhood.
Diana Petrarca
is an Associate Professor and founding member of the Faculty of Education at Ontario Tech University, Canada. During her time at Ontario Tech University, she has held numerous administrative roles including Practicum Coordinator, Bachelor of Education Program Director, and Assistant Dean. Her research interests include web-based learning tools to support practicum partners, initial teacher education programs, and (un)making teachers.
Mark Prendergast
is a Senior Lecturer in Education in the School of Education at University College Cork, Ireland. His teaching and research interests lie broadly in the areas of mathematics education, initial teacher education, and adult numeracy.
Marilde Queiroz Guedes
has a PhD in Education: Curriculum from PUC São Paulo, Brazil. She is Professor of the Bahia State University, Brasil, where she is involved in the Graduate Program in Human and Social Sciences. Her research interest include curriculum, teacher training and educational policies.
Lucía Sánchez-Tarazaga
is Assistant Professor at the Department of Pedagogy and Didactics of Social Sciences, Language and Literature at Jaume I University, Spain. She teaches in initial teacher education programmes and is Quality Coordinator of the Childhood Education Degree. She collaborates with schools in designing teacher competency frameworks. Her research interests lie in the areas of teacher competences, teachers’ professional development and educational policy, including an international approach in her projects.
Paola Sangster
is Senior Lecturer and Academic Lead for Initial Teacher Education at the University of Dundee, Scotland. Her main teaching is through blended delivery with a focus on music in primary education. Her research interests include gender issues and student experience in Initial Teacher Education.
Bianca Thoilliez
is Associate Professor at the Department of Pedagogy, Autonomous University of Madrid, Spain. Her research interests include the study of traditions and vanguards of educational thought (with special focus on American philosophy), teaching and teacher education, international agencies’ education agendas, and cross-national curriculum policies.
Luís Tinoca
is Assistant Professor at the Institute of Education, University of Lisbon, Portugal. He is an active researcher in the areas of teacher education, competence-based curriculum design, innovative learning environments, and Higher Education Pedagogy. He earned his PhD in Science Education from the University of Texas at Austin in 2004.
Shirley Van Nuland
is an Adjunct Professor and past Associate Professor and Academic Lead at the Faculty of Education, University of Ontario Institute of Technology. She researches teacher education, standards and ethical codes as these intersect lives of teachers. She earned her PhD from University of Toronto, Canada, in 1998.
