This number of Erasmus Studies is a special issue from our friends at the Erasmus of Rotterdam Research Centre. The purpose of this special issue is not only to contribute to scholarship but also to increase our familiarity with an important institutional partner at a moment of burgeoning activity around Erasmus. Of particular interest is the history of the Erasmus collection at the municipal library of Rotterdam. We also feature an article by Bill Regier on panegyric in Erasmus and a very fitting tribute to the late, lamented Franz Bierlaire by Renaud Adam. We hope to see many of you at our Erasmus panel at SCSC on Friday November 1 at the Sheraton Centre Toronto Hotel at 10:30â¯AM. We may even see you before you ever read this. We will also be running an Erasmus panel at RSA in Boston next March. On October 11, Ann Blair gave this yearâs Erasmus Birthday Lecture in Amsterdam. You can read it here in a forthcoming issue of the journal.
