Hello and welcome to another special issue of Erasmus Studies. This year we are featuring the topic “Erasmus and Women” in a special issued guest edited by Reinier Leushuis. As usual, the special issue includes an introduction, articles, and a bibliography of secondary sources. I also remind you that Jan Bloemendal will deliver the 2023 Roland Bainton Lecture at the Sixteenth Century Society and Conference (SCSC) in Baltimore on Saturday October 28 at 5:30 PM in the Renaissance Baltimore Harborplace Hotel. I sincerely hope that you will be able to attend. The Erasmus of Rotterdam Society will be sponsoring four different Erasmus sessions at RSA 2024 in Chicago next March. Erasmus is alive and well. Now, let’s listen to Reinier as he introduces the special issue.
