Welcome to what we hope is the last pandemic issue of Erasmus Studies. This issue features what is no doubt the longest essay ever published in our journal, a quantitative study of the paratexts in the works that Erasmus published with the house of Froben. The appendix to this article has a useful update to Valentina Sebastiani’s bibliography of Johann Froben covering Erasmus’ publications with Hieronymus Froben. We are also offering an art historical approach to friendship in Erasmus as well as an assessment of Erasmus’ legacy through the fortunes of the epithet “theologaster.” We have high expectations for next year’s meeting of the Renaissance Society of America (RSA) where the Erasmus of Rotterdam Society is hosting two star-studded panels on Erasmus. I am looking forward to seeing all of you in Dublin.
