Well, if youâre reading this, youâre still alive, and thatâs a triumph. 2020 was a year of no Erasmus lectures, and thatâs the least of its defects. We do have a nice selection of articles and book reviews to offer you in this first number of volume 41 of our journal, on a range of literary, hermeneutic, and ideological issues. I especially recommend to your attention Bill Regierâs piece on the missing adages, where he invites our feedback. Hereâs mine: how about non fulget gemma in sterquilinio, quod in anulo (ep. 126 Allen line 246)? Anyone else have any suggestions? Barring some further catastrophes, we will reconvene for RSA virtual. Weâll be running the same Erasmus lineup as was scheduled for Philadelphia. See you there.
